Preparation
To get the most out of your certification, CrossFit recommends the following as a preparation. We have added inputs from our own experience where applicable.
1. Read the training guide
We recommend that you read the training guide at least once before coming to the seminar. Take notes and put down questions you might have. Rest assured that there will be a massive amount of information taught during the lectures, and it is best to be prepared for that by reading the guide beforehand. You will receive the link to the training guide after you have registered.
2. Familiarize yourself with fundamental movements of CrossFit
- Air Squat
- Shoulder press
- Push press
- Pullup
- Thruster
And if you have more time to prepare also consider the following:
- Front Squat
- Overhead Squat
- Push jerk
- Deadlift
- Sumo Deadlift High Pull
- Medicine Ball Clean
You can find videos of all the exercises above at CrossFit.com.
3. Do some of the Benchmark Workouts
- Fran
- Helen
- Angie
- Fight Gone Bad
The benchmark workouts are explained on CrossFit.com.
4. Maintain adequate Hydration
Maintaining adequate hydration is imperative throughout the seminar and should begin prior to your arrival. In the week prior to the seminar we suggest that you decrease your alcohol intake and get plenty of rest.
What to bring
